ITG executive Tony Huck on client concerns in a fragmented trading environment
As more and more algorithmic strategies are developed to reach an ever-greater number of trading venues across the globe, "customization is a big differentiator," says Tony Huck, managing director of Investment Technology Group (ITG), an agency brokerage with a reputation for innovative trading and market-access technologies.
Customers of New York-based ITG, whose offerings run the gamut from execution management systems to crossing networks and transaction cost analysis, can work with a client service team to "customize any ITG algorithm to fit their individual trading styles," according to Huck. Transparency is also key, he adds, which is why the company in 2006 introduced its Dark Report Card, which provides clients "with a monthly report on the execution quality and quantity in each venue where trading occurred."
