June 26, 2009

Marketcetera, a provider of open source software for automated trading systems, announced today that its platform is now available over NYSE Technologies’ Secure Financial Transaction Infrastructure network.

NYSE Technologies—the technology arm of NYSE Euronext—said it will host the Marketcetera trading platform as a SFTI Integrated Partner Solution. Clients can access this platform together with other services including NYSE Technologies’ directed order routing capability and SuperFeed, its low latency hosted ticker plant offering.

“Today’s traders are demanding best execution and the lowest latency possible while offloading IT management headaches and unnecessary costs so that they can focus on what they do best – trade,” said Graham Miller, CEO of Marketcetera. “By working with NYSE Technologies, we can offer this end-to-end solution through a managed hosting model. Clients can expect to receive reduced costs, flexibility and performance advantages that they require to compete in this era of high frequency trading.”

Murray White, senior vice president of global connectivity at NYSE Technologies noted the end-to-end solution available from Marketcetera and NYSE Technologies “demonstrates our commitment to finding alternative ways to attract liquidity and meet the needs of current clients with flexible, open and cost-effective products.”
