NYSE Technologies Unveils Market Data Platform
June 25, 2009
NYSE Technologies, the commercial technology unit of NYSE Euronext, has launched a market data platform designed for high-volume and latency sensitive markets, delivering data in microseconds rather than milliseconds, the company said this week.
The platform, dubbed Market Data Platform V5 and built on top of NYSE Technologies Data Fabric Middleware, has been carefully engineered to deliver extremely high throughput and low latency market data delivery, providing significant value to co-location solutions, high frequency trading and enterprise ticket plant deployments, according to the company,
Market Data Platform V5 represents a quantum leap forward in nearly every aspect of market data distribution, said Stanley Young, CEO of NYSE Technologies and co-global CIO of NYSE Euronext, noting in a press conference at this weeks Sifma event that the platform has been tested by three pilot customers and is now generally available. Through this accelerated new system we offer microsecond message processing at peak rates and single-server application, enabling our clients to benefit from a significant reduction in hardware investment and operation costs.
The platform also supports a wide range of integration options and is vendor neutral, allowing deployment on any hardware platform that supports Linux.
