The Russian Trading System (RTS), the country's second-largest exchange by volume, will in June launch a FIX gateway, allowing foreign market participants to more easily gain access to the venue.
The FIX connectivity system, developed by Devexperts, a St. Petersburg, Russia-based software vendor specializing in options and foreign exchange, is being tested with the exchange's derivatives market--Futures and Options on RTS (Forts). Currently, firms connect to Forts over a proprietary trading platform and application programming interface (API).
