IBM Corp., aiming to expand its presence in the low-latency trading arena, said last week that it has acquired privately held InfoDyne Corp., a leading provider of data feed technology, for an undisclosed sum.
Park Ridge, Ill.-based InfoDyne's offerings, including direct exchange feeds, a ticker plant system and a consolidated order-book server, will become part of IBM's WebSphere line. Combining the WebSphere technology and InfoDyne's high-speed platforms and data feed connectors "will help clients extend transactional integrity to low-latency environments," said IBM.
