JonesTrading president Will Geyer is now also CEO of the Westlake Village, Calif.-based agency brokerage, replacing William "Packy" Jones. Geyer, who joined the firm about one year ago from Citigroup, where he most recently oversaw its global front-end electronic trading platform, continues to fill the role of president but has passed his COO duties to general counsel Steve Chmielewski. Jones, who will stay on as chairman, noted that "our management is committed to the firm, and now has the mandate, precision in responsibilities, and resources to design and implement strategies for JonesTrading's continued growth in valuation, revenue and profits." Geyer has also been responsible for Citigroup's global alternative execution business; prior to joining Citi, he managed U.S. equity trading at Barclays Global Investors.
