Paris-based order management systems provider Linedata Services has promoted Annie Morris to managing director of North America. Morris, who since 2006 had headed operational management of all products for traditional funds in North America, will in her new role oversee all operations in the U.S., Canada and the Caribbean, including over 220 employees in offices in Boston, New York and Hackensack, N.J. and a range of front- and back-office products. In 1997, Morris, a veteran of Morgan Stanley and Merrill Lynch & Co., joined LongView Group, which Linedata acquired in 2001. Before taking on her most recent role she led product strategy and client services for the LongView business line. Anvaraly Jiva, CEO and chairman of Linedata, said that "the personal role played by Annie Morris in the success of our LongView and LyNX products, coupled with her strong knowledge of the financial sector, will be assets in accelerating our growth in this highly strategic market."
Post-trade communications service provider Omgeo has appointed Antonio Nunes chief financial officer. Nunes, previously CFO of Albridge Solutions, a provider of portfolio accounting and wealth management services, will report to CEO and president Marianne Brown, who said that "his track record of facilitating revenue growth and profitability will be of tremendous benefit to the future of Omgeo's success," adding that Nunes "will no doubt play a pivotal role as we identify opportunities for further expansion and growth." Prior to joining Albridge in 2002, Nunes was CFO of event processing vendor Aleri and held that position at State Street Corp. subsidiary Princeton Financial Systems from 1994 to 1999. Nunes, now responsible for the global finance, business information systems, vendor management and facilities teams of the joint venture of Depository Trust & Clearing Corp. and Thomson Financial, noted that "the industry continues to change rapidly but Omgeo's vision of enabling the efficient community will remain relevant in any environment."
