New York-based Trade Settlement (TSI), a global provider of electronic settlement services for the primary and secondary syndicated loan markets, has brought on William Buble as COO. In the newly created role, Buble, who was most recently business manager in the credit trading division of JP Morgan Securities, where he focused mainly on high-yield loan trading, will report to president and CEO Pat Loret de Mola. As the syndicated loan market continues to grow, said Buble, "TSI expects to continue to support the industry with services that ease the trading and settlement process." Loret de Mola noted that TSI's business "has been growing at a double-digit pace and, looking forward, we will benefit greatly from [Buble's] expertise as the industry seeks to achieve even greater rates of participation in automated trade processing." A 21-year veteran of the financial services industry, Buble joined JP Morgan Chase & Co. predecessor Chase Securities in 1994. He held various positions at Bankers Trust Co.'s securities arm beginning in 1986.
BlueNext, the carbon trading market launched earlier this year by NYSE Euronext and French bank Caisse des Depots et Consignations, has named Andrei Marcu CEO. Previously president and CEO of the International Emissions Trading Association, a non-profit organization dedicated to establishing effective trading systems for greenhouse gas emissions, Marcu was from 1998 to 2000 manager of corporate initiatives at the United Nations Development Program. BlueNext chairman Serge Harry said he is "extremely confident that Andrei will accomplish our growth objectives with the international deployment of a comprehensive range of products and services, enabling BlueNext to become a world leader for trading in environment-related instruments." Marcu, who held various positions at the former Ontario Hydro, which he joined in 1981, noted that "BlueNext has a well-defined business strategy in place and is uniquely positioned to fully benefit from the industry's growth perspectives."
