As global derivatives markets become more connected and the velocity of trading increases, "buy- and sell-side firms will require trading systems that can manage the complexities of both market structure and the instruments being traded," says Andy Nybo, senior analyst at New York-based Tabb Group.
Stockholm-based Orc Software offers just such a platform, according to Nybo. Though its products also cover equities, Orc, 25 percent-owned by Nasdaq OMX Group, has long focused on advanced derivatives trading and connectivity solutions.
